The very first direct container train from Austria departed today from Vienna South station to China. The train covers 10,460 kilometers in 16 days, offering a fast, cheap and environmentally-friendly transport alternative between Austria and China. The new rail link connects Austria even more with the OBOR program (One Belt, One Road). The train is operated by Nunner Logistics.

As of August 20th the new service will connect Samskip’s terminal in Duisburg with TMA Logistics terminal in Amsterdam, initially with two weekly departures in each direction and three roundtrips per week as of September.
Nunner Logistics operates weekly many trains from China via Duisburg with cargo for UK and Scandinavia.
