Amsterdam, 2024 November 13th, This evening I had the honor to attend the fundraising dinner of the Black Jaguar Foundation – sponsored by Hôtel de l’Europe. While enjoying a delicious dinner at restaurant Flore with 2** Michelin stars, and 1* green (= sustainability) star, located in the prestigious De l’Europe in a, that evening tumultuous Amsterdam, we were updated by BJF founder Ben Valks și Joel Boele on the amazing progress regarding the reforestation project in the Araguaia Biodiversity Corridor in Brazil. 1.7 billion native trees will be planted here in the coming years to restore the lungs of the earth and the biodiversity in this area and to fight the climate crisis. Besides donating the dinner by De l’Europe Amsterdam , it has also committed itself as a partner of the BJF. De L’Europe General Manager Robert-Jan WOLTERING had the pleasure to receive a life-size Black Jaguar statue donated by the famous Dutch artist Chris Tap, which now proudly stands near the reception of De L’Europe. I myself had the pleasure to communicate to the team of the Foundation that evening that Nunner Logistics will also be committed to the BJF as a partner and donor in the coming years. It is incredible what initiator Ben and his entire team are doing to create a better world. Next to the contribution to nature and the climate, the local population and farmers in the area also benefit from this ambitious project. Please join us to accelerate the project !!
